The WA Margaret River region winery Leeuwin Estate is not only well known for their fine produce, but also their outdoor concerts, restaurant and art collection.

The Art Gallery now boasts over 150 paintings from leading  contemporary Australian artists like John Olsen, Arthur Boyd, Sir Sidney Nolan, Lloyd Rees, Albert Tucker, Fred Williams, Robert Juniper, Clifton Pugh and Imkants Tillers.

Nina Battley’s artwork ‘Starting From Seed’ has been acquired 2011 and has now just recently been released as the feature Art Series Sauvignon Blanc 2014 vintage. The painting complements the delicious wine with its lightness and freshness, whilst maintaining earthiness and depth through interconnecting layers.

The fruit spectrum has clarity and purity with cut limes, grapefruit and grilled lemon. The nose is heightened with kaffir lime leaves, jasmine, vanilla pod and savoury blanched almonds. A tightly woven palate offering lime, lemon and grapefruits. The palate has a seamless acid line throughout, leading to a complex middle and a long savoury finish.
